In Quiet Fields

In Quiet Fields is an ongoing series of digital landscape paintings that reflect a deep, emotional connection to the Irish countryside. Drawing from memory as much as observation, these works explore moments of quiet stillness, fields waiting for weather, distant hills softened by light.

Using painterly textures, muted colour palettes, and stylised forms, the series abstracts familiar rural scenes into something more intimate and contemplative. Each piece captures not just a place, but a feeling: of standing still in a changing landscape, of returning, or remembering.

The digital medium allows for layered mark-making and subtle variations in light and mood, offering a contemporary approach to traditional landscape themes.
